In-n-Out Burger and Target Photoshoot in Fort Worth, TX - Angel & Nikki
Started off 2019 with a fun photoshoot with these two young ladies! Lately, I’ve been straying away from nature trails and prefer to do work in modern settings. It’s a nice shift in my style and it’s helping me to create more work that my clients and I get excited about. I’ve been wanting to do a photoshoot inside of Target for years and finally decided to a few days ago. In-N-Out Burger was a photoshoot idea I’ve been inspired to photograph at since the late summer. The two locations were in the same parking lot, so why not knock out two photoshoot ideas in one?
My son was initially supposed to tag along with me for this shoot, but he stayed with my mom. Angel & Nikki’s mom was looking forward to meeting him and bought him a gift (a pack of toy race cars) since I told her he’s obsessed with vehicles. They were also sweet and gifted me with a Panera Bread gift card. I swear I have the best clients ever!
Our starting point was at In-n-Out Burger. It was lunch hour, so it got busy very fast. I personally don’t like to feel like I’m disrupting business, so we moved all the way to the corner near the bar stools to photograph. It was extremely cold and windy outside. Even with gloves, 2 jackets and a sweater on, I was still freezing and my fingers were going numb. The girls were real troopers! I had them rotate going inside to warm up every few minutes. Afterwards, we rode across the parking lot to Super Target.
Once we walked inside, I quickly accessed that it was going to be a challenge to take photos with ease. During this time of year, school is out and that means everyone is out shopping or returning Christmas gifts. I tried to lead them in areas that weren’t crowded, but still well lit.
We captured some images of Nikki being pushed inside the cart by her older sister, Angel. A few more in the makeup section with the girls skipping down the aisle arm in arm. The real fun came once we were in the toy section!
